What does it mean to be an Offline Club City Leader?
As a City Leader, you will lead a local Offline Club community and be responsible for hosting offline events and experiences in your city. You will operate under an official Offline Club license and become part of our global team of City Leaders.
Who can become a City Leader?
Any individual (or team) who is motivated to make the world more genuinely connected and help people swap screen time for real time, community-style.
To be a licensed City Leader, you must be registered as a business in your country — this can be as a freelancer (sole proprietor), partnership, or limited company, depending on local laws and regulations. Just having a personal tax number is not enough.
What are the desired qualities of an Offline Club City Leader?
Our City Leaders have a diverse range of backgrounds, skillsets and qualities. We are looking for people who, like us, believe that phone-free spaces and events can make the world a more humane place. Our City Leaders are go-getters with an entrepreneurial spirit; have a track-record in community building and bringing people together; are true connectors; dare to dream big; and embrace a learning-by-doing mindset. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
What is the required time commitment of a local City Leader?
This differs per city (size). City Leaders in metropolises like London, Barcelona and New York usually start on a part-time basis, with the ambition to grow The Offline Club into their full-time job. City Leaders in smaller cities will have The Offline Club as their part-time job, with profits generated from the Club covering part of their monthly income.
How are local City Leaders compensated?
City Leaders receive a majority percentage of all earnings from ticket sales, sponsorships and paid partnerships, merchandise sales, and optional business events and memberships.
What does the Offline Club license entail?
As a City Leader you will hold an official Offline Club license, meaning you will operate your own business entity, registered in your country. Here’s what’s included:
- Brand licensing of an internationally recognized registered trademark.
- Support and training from global coordinators (weekly team meetings and monthly 1on1 strategy and performance meetings. .
- A City Leader Guide: a step-by-step manual to run a successful local Offline Club. Includes best practices, templates, and how-to's.
- Marketing assets, design templates, and tutorials (City Page, Instagram account, promotional material, etc.)
- Local Exclusivity: only one organizer per city.
- Belong to a global community of like-minded people.
What is the community of local Offline Club City Leaders like?
We are a diverse community of fun, welcoming and ambitious City Leaders who are fully invested in bringing people together, offline. We meet online on a weekly basis to share learnings, and gather in person once each year. We support, inspire and learn from each other.
